Foundations in Aesthetic Medicine is a comprehensive introductory program designed for medical professionals who want to build a solid and structured entry into the field of aesthetic medicine.

This course covers the core principles of aesthetic medicine, including its clinical and ethical framework, patient assessment and selection, facial and skin anatomy, safety considerations, and clinical decision-making. It provides the essential knowledge required to understand aesthetic treatments within a responsible, evidence-based, and patient-centred medical context.

The curriculum is designed and delivered by practicing European clinicians, academic faculty, and partner clinics, ensuring a strong alignment with real-world clinical standards and current professional practice. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, ethical judgment, and developing the clinical reasoning skills needed before progressing to advanced techniques.

Foundations in Aesthetic Medicine is Module 1 of EIHE’s 7-module Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine, but it can be taken independently as a standalone course. Upon completion, students receive an individual certificate for this module.

Doctors who choose to complete the remaining six modules, even if taken separately and at their own pace, will be eligible for the full Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine certification, subject to meeting all academic and assessment requirements.

This course is ideal for doctors new to aesthetic medicine, as well as for practitioners seeking to reinforce their foundations before advancing into injectables, devices, and combination protocols.

Who is eligible to enrol in this program?
This program is designed for medical doctors (MD, MBBS or equivalent) who wish to develop or advance their expertise in aesthetic medicine. Applicants must hold a recognized medical degree and be legally entitled to practice medicine in their country.

Can international doctors enrol in the program?
Yes. The program is open to international medical doctors from different countries. As the training is delivered online with optional practical components, it is accessible globally.

Does this program allow me to legally practice aesthetic medicine in my country?
The program provides advanced postgraduate education and certification, but it does not replace national licensing or regulatory requirements. Graduates must comply with the legal and professional regulations governing aesthetic medicine in their own country.

Is this program suitable for doctors with no prior experience in aesthetic medicine?
Yes. The curriculum is structured to support both beginners and experienced practitioners, starting with core foundations and progressively advancing to more complex techniques and protocols.

How do I access my course materials?
Once you log into the learning platform, you’ll find your modules listed on the dashboard. Click on any module title to access the lessons, recorded lectures, readings, and assessments. You can study at your own pace within the course schedule.

How long will I have access to the course materials?
You will have full access to all course materials, recorded classes, and downloadable resources until the official end of your programme plus an additional grace period (3 months) for revision and completion of pending work.

Can I access the platform from my mobile phone or tablet?
Yes. The learning platform is fully compatible with mobile devices and tablets. For the best experience, use Google Chrome or Safari with a stable internet connection.

Are live sessions mandatory?
No. Attendance at live sessions is not mandatory, although highly recommended for interaction with faculty and peers. All live sessions are recorded and uploaded to the platform within 48 hours for later viewing.

What happens if I miss a deadline?
If you miss an assessment deadline, contact your academic coordinator as soon as possible. Extensions may be granted only in justified cases (e.g., illness, personal emergencies) but must be requested formally.

How are assessments conducted?
Assessments include weekly quizzes (multiple choice or short answer), practical assignments at the end of every module, and a final major project. All assessments are submitted through the platform following the provided deadlines.

Is there a minimum passing grade for each module?
Yes. Each module requires a minimum of 50% to be considered passed. In case of failure, a re-evaluation or re-submission option may be available, depending on the module guidelines.

What kind of certification will I receive upon completion?
Upon successfully completing all course requirements, you will receive a certificate for your Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine, issued by EIHE. The certificate includes your full name, programme title, duration, and date of issue.

Additionally, this Master´s has been accredited by ARP Certificate, so students will receive a second certificate issued by ARP: the European Union Certification Mark for High Quality Online Education.

Can I download or print my certificate?
Yes. Once issued, your digital certificate will be available for download directly from your student portal. You may also request a printed version (with notarization or apostille, if needed) through the Academic Office.

How can I request academic transcripts or letters of enrolment?
You can request official documents (enrolment confirmation, transcript of grades, etc.) by emailing [email protected].

How do I contact my tutor or academic coordinator?
Each student is assigned a personal academic tutor. You can reach your tutor directly via the “Messages” section on the platform or by email. You can also contact the Academic Coordination team through the Support section for any academic or administrative matter.

Will I receive academic or career guidance?
Yes. The programme includes personalised academic mentoring and career support sessions to help you apply your skills in clinical and professional practice.

How can I connect with other students?
The platform includes community forums and discussion boards where students can interact, share insights, and collaborate.

Are there opportunities for hands-on or practical training?
Yes. While the theoretical component is online, selected modules may include optional in-person workshops or clinical practice opportunities in partner clinics. Information on upcoming workshops is available on the platform. These workshops or clinical practice opportunities are not included in the cost of the online Master´s Degree, are fully optional, and might take place at different locations.
