Do I need previous experience in periodontics?
No. The course begins with the fundamentals of periodontal diagnosis and gradually progresses to practical treatment planning and non-surgical periodontal management. No previous periodontal training is required.
Does this course qualify me as a Periodontist?
No. This is a continuing professional development course designed to enhance your confidence and competence in managing periodontal disease within general practice. It does not replace specialist training or postgraduate qualifications in Periodontology.
Will this course help me know when to treat and when to refer?
Yes. One of the core objectives of the programme is helping you identify which periodontal conditions can be managed confidently in general practice and which cases should be referred to a specialist.

Is the course self-paced?

Are there live sessions?
Yes. Live expert sessions may be organised for clinical case discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical demonstrations. Attendance is recommended but not mandatory, and recordings will be available afterwards.

How will I be assessed?
You will complete one multiple-choice assessment at the end of each of the 10 modules, followed by a final comprehensive multiple-choice examination covering the entire course.
Is there a passing requirement?
Yes. Students must successfully complete all required assessments to receive their certificate.
What certificate will I receive?
Upon successful completion, participants will receive the EIHE Certificate in Periodontics for Daily Practice, validated by Clínica Torres Carranza (Seville, Spain).
